VASTUULLINEN JOULUKALENTERI – LUUKKU KOLME

Pahvilaatikkoyllätys
Vanha kenkälaatikko tai muu pahviloota on erinomainen pakkausmateriaali. Tavara sisään ja kansi päälle! Sitä paitsi ainakin omasta mielestäni on ihan virkistävää nähdä kuusen alla erilaisia paketteja, joten kyllä sinne pari värikästä kenkälaatikkoakin mahtuu.
Pahvilaatikolla voi myös tehdä pientä jekkuilua, jos käytössä on useampi sisäkkäin menevä laatikko. Kooltaan pienen lahjan avaamisesta voi tehdä suurta jännitystä paketoimalla sen useaan sisäkkäin olevaan pahvilaatikkoon, josta isoin on tietenkin jättisuuri.
Sanomalehteen kääritty lahja
Sanomalehti on ihan klassikko paketoinnissa. Hauskuutta voi lisätä valitsemalla pakettiin sellaiset sivut, joissa on jotain piilomerkitystä lahjan saajalle. Voi olla hauskaa saada oma lahjansa suosikkijoukkueensa urheilu-uutisiin käärittynä tai lukea lahjan kyljestä sarjakuvia!
Sanomalehden lisäksi myös esimerkiksi aikakauslehdet, mainoslehtiset tai vaikkapa ristikkosivut käyvät hyvin paketointimateriaaleiksi. Kaikki nämä voi viedä joulun jälkeen paperinkeräykseen.
Kankainen paketti tai piirrä lahjapaperisi
Ylimääräiseen kangaspalaan saat käärittyä pakettisi kauniisti. Jos ylimäärästä kangasta ei kotona satu roikkumaan, saa sitä esimerkiksi kangasliikkeistä ostettua halvalla. Usein myös kirppiksiltä tai kierrätyskeskuksesta voi löytää jopa ilmaisia kangaspaloja.
Yksi kiva idea on piirtää itse oma lahjapaperi! Eli piirustuspaperi, johon vaikka lapsi taiteilee omat jouluterveisensä, ja eikun lahjan ympärille. Kaksi kärpästä yhdellä iskulla.
Älä paketoi kaunista lahjaa
Jos lahja on esimerkiksi kaunis pyyhe, liina tai vaikka tyyny, voi paketointi olla turhaa. Kietaise kaunis nauha lahjan ympärille ja kiinnitä itse tehty kortti, niin paketti ei paperia kaipaa.
Lahjanarunkaan ei tarvitse olla sitä perinteistä muovista, vaan kangaskaupoista löytyy erilaisia nauhoja ja myös ihan tavalliset narut kelpaavat. Esimerkiksi ruskea voimapaperi ja siihen kietaistu juuttinaru luovat ihanaa vanhan ajan tunnelmaa ollen samalla tyylikkäitä, uudelleen käytettäviä paketteja.

Meidän taloudessa on käytetty samoja lahjapaperirullia niin syntymäpäivälahjoihin kuin joululahjoihinkin. Tänä vuonna paketoidaan vain toistemme lahjat, ja todennäköisesti kääräistään ne sanomalehtiin. Paketointi on kivaa ja pakettien avaaminen on kivaa, mutta vielä mukavampaa se on kun tietää, ettei aiheuta turhaa ympäristökuormaa asioilla, jotka on helppo tehdä toisin.
