Miltä kuulostaa kesäviikonloppu täynnä hyvää musiikkia, laadukasta ruokaa ja juomaa merimaisemalla? Entä se, että kaikki tämän hauskanpidon aiheuttamat ilmastohaitat on kompensoitu? Mun korvaan se kuulostaa siltä, että haluan ehdottomasti olla osana tuota viikonloppua.
Oon vilpittömän iloinen siitä, että sosiaalisesti ankean aikakauden jälkeen tulee kesän loppuun todellinen piristysruiske. Vaasa Festivalit järjestetään 7.-8. elokuuta Vaasan sisäsatamassa. Mahtavaa, että kaikki kiva ei peruuntunut tältä kesältä, vaan jopa täällä mun kotikaupungissa saadaan juhlia festareita. Mukavuudenhaluisena ihmisenä arvostan sitä, että pääsen kotiin yöksi.
Olen monesti puhunut teille oman kotikaupungin kulttuurimahdollisuuksista ja kotimaassa matkustelusta. Yksi syy, miksi haluan mennä Vaasa Festivaleille, piilee juurikin tässä. Festari on vielä suhteellisen uusi ja on hienoa olla tukemassa omassa kaupungissa järjestettävää tapahtumaa. Sen lisäksi tukemista tapahtuu myös toisin päin, sillä Vaasa Festival alkaa ilmaispäivällä jo torstaina 6. elokuuta Taiteiden yön merkeissä. Huippua, että paikallista kulttuuria tuetaan.
Festarien artistikattaus miellyttää erityisen paljon tänä vuonna – näin suomalaisen musiikin ystävänä esiintyjät vakuuttavat. Mukana ovat muun muassa Eppu Normaali, Behm, Reino Nordin, Lauri Tähkä, Maija Vilkkumaa sekä Kaija Koo. Ja tietysti mun suosikkibändi ala-asteelta asti, jonka vuoksi yksistään olisin valmis menemään festareille: Apulanta.
Vaasa Festival on täysin ympäristökompensoitu. Kaikki isot tapahtumat aiheuttavat väkisinkin ympäristöhaittaa, joten on hienoa, että niitä kompensoidaan. Tämä osoittaa järjestäjän olevan vastuullinen. Festivaali istuttaa hiilijalanjälkensä verran puita Pohjanmaan alueelle. Lisäksi festarikävijät voivat tehdä oman osuutensa ympäristön puolesta ja ostaa puuntaimia Co2 Compensaten pisteellä. Aika mahtavaa, eikö?
Oon odottanut läpi kevään jännityksellä uutisia Vaasa Festivalin kohtalosta. Koska tämän neljän seinän sisällä vietetyn kesän jälkeen pukeutumisinspiraatio saattaa olla hukassa, ajattelin näyttää teille muutamia ideoimiani festariasuja. En ole mikään mestaripukeutuja ja olen todella mukavuudenhaluinen, mutta mun mielestä festareilla saa kokeilla jotain erilaista.
Asu 1: Ole rohkeasti erilainen
Japanilaishenkinen mekko ja pyöräilyshortsit. Oon pyöritellyt tätä asua mielessäni viime kesästä asti, mutta en jotenkaan uskaltanut pukea sitä ylleni. Mekko on ostettu kirpparilta hintaan 3,50 euroa sillä ajatuksella, että jos joskus sitä uskaltaisin käyttää. No, nyt olisi se tilaisuus. Tästä tulee mun kaksipäiväisen festarin ensimmäinen asu, sillä tykästyin tuohon yhdistelmään todella! Mukava ja rento päällä eikä huku massaan – vaikka ei siinäkään mitään vikaa ole.
Asu 2: Vähän rokkia mukana
Mustat farkut, musta toppi ja keltainen verkkopaita. Ei liian raju asu, mutta löytyy pientä särmää! Mustat farkut ovat aina perusvarma valinta, ja kaapin pohjalle käyttöä odottamaan jäänyt verkkopaita sopii festaritunnelmaan paremmin kuin hyllyjä täyttämään. Tätä asua voi soveltaa myös erilaisella alutopilla tai jättämällä sen kokonaan pois, jos haluaa tehdä rohkean valinnan. Myös mustat farkkushortsit kävisivät tähän hyvin!
Asu 3: Turvallisen mustavalkoista
Festariasu voi olla myös ihan tavallinen asu pienellä lisämausteella. Tämän asun voisin pukea töihin tai kauppaan, mutta hauskat kuviolliset housut tuovat asuun lisää pirteyttä. Koristeelliset mustavalkoiset koristeet ovat kiva yksityiskohta. Vaikka festareilla saakin hullutella, on myös sallittua pukeutua hillitymmin ja omaan arkityyliinsä.
Asu 4: Varaudutaan Suomen kesään
Okei, tässä on vähän huumoria mukana. Niin ihana kuin Suomen kesä onkin, ei siltä ikinä voi odottaa liikoja sään suhteen. Kesäsade saattaa yllättää koska tahansa, joten sadetakilla varustautuminen festareihin ei ole liioittelua, vaan järkevää ennakointia. Tämä ihana Rukan sininen sadetakki on muuten myös kirpparilöytö, jonka sain mukaani alle kympillä.
Ota mukaan festareille:
Tyhjä vesipullo. Alueella on usein vesipisteitä, jossa voit täyttää pulloa. Nestehukka on oikea vaara kesällä, ja prosentteja sisältävienkin juomien välissä on hyvä ottaa huikka välivettä.
Varavirtalähde. Festareilta on kiva somettaa ja pitää yhteyttä muihin alueella seikkaileviin kavereihin. Akun loppuminen kesken illan tympäisee, joten pakkaa laukkuun mukaan täyteen ladattu varavirtalähde.
Vessapaperia. Mikään ei ole ikävämpää kuin vessoista ja bajamajoista loppunut paperi. Kiität itseäsi, kun otat kotoa mukaan puolikkaan rullan.
Käsidesi. Tätä tuskin lienee tarpeellista selitellä poikkeustilan jälkeen. Vaasa Festivalin alueelta löytyy käsidesejä, mutta oma on hygienisempi ja on kiva pikku lisä bajamajakäynnin jälkeen.
Lämmintä vaatetta. Näihin munkin asuihin sopii hyvin lisäksi lämmin kollari, joka takaa viihtyvyyden illan viimeisiin tunteihin asti.
Toivottavasti mahdollisimman moni teistä on tulossa myös Vaasa Festivaleille! Kahden päivän normaalit liput on myyty jo loppuun, joten kannattaa pitää kiirettä lippujen hankkimisen kanssa. Festarilla on huomioitu myös koronariski esimerkiksi ylimääräisillä käsideseillä ja pienemmällä yleisömäärällä. Olin toissakesänä kyseisillä festareilla, ja nautin erityisen paljon festarien sijainnista meren äärellä, sekä loistavasta ruoka- ja viinitarjoilusta.
